Xhevdet Gashi is a respected composer, author, and innovator whose work has helped shape generations of Albanian music. From symphonic forms to experimental expression, his creative voice reflects a rare ability to move across styles, formats, and eras while maintaining a distinct artistic identity.
As one of the founding figures of Kosovo’s first rock band, MAK, and a pioneering force in the development of private music studios in Kosovo, Xhevdet Gashi’s contribution extends beyond composition alone. His work as a composer, arranger, and sound architect has influenced both the creative and technical foundations of the region’s music landscape.
His catalogue includes works across pop, folk, rock, theatre, and film, carrying important cultural, historical, and artistic value. Through decades of creative work, his compositions have become part of the musical memory of Kosovo and Albanian music more broadly.
Through this collaboration, Medium Music Publishing will support the administration, protection, and long-term development of Xhevdet Gashi’s musical works across international markets.
