About Medium Music Publishing

Medium Music Publishing is the publishing and rights administration division of Medium Music Group. Established in October 2025, the division builds on the Group’s wider music-industry experience and long-term commitment to rights management. We work with authors, composers, publishers, catalogue owners, and estates to protect musical works, administer publishing rights, and support the long-term development of creative catalogues across global markets.

Publishing is about safeguarding the time, emotion, and creativity poured into every musical work. A song does not only live at the moment of release. It can continue to generate cultural value, commercial value, and emotional impact for years when its rights are properly structured, registered, and administered.

Our role is to ensure that compositions are properly registered, accurately represented, and effectively managed across territories. We handle the structural side of music publishing, including rights administration, work registrations, royalty flows, metadata, documentation, and catalogue strategy, so creators can focus on creating.

Through international representation and coordinated rights management, we help musical works move across borders, platforms, and markets. Whether working with emerging writers, established composers, publishers, or catalogue owners, our focus remains the same: building sustainable value around compositions and ensuring that creative work is protected and positioned correctly worldwide.

Medium Music Publishing operates with a selective, partnership-driven approach, providing tailored publishing support for creators and rights holders who are building long-term value in their musical works.

You focus on creating.
We take care of making sure the world listens.

How Musical Works Generate Publishing Income

A musical work can generate publishing income in several ways. The rights, licences, and payment routes involved depend on how the composition is used, where the use takes place, and how it is represented in each territory.
Performance Rights

Publishing royalties may arise when a composition is broadcast, performed live, played publicly, or used through certain online services.

Examples: Radio, Television, Live concerts, Festivals and Public venues

Mechanical Rights

Mechanical royalties may arise when a composition is reproduced or distributed through eligible formats and services.

Examples: On-demand streaming, Digital downloads, CDs, Vinyl records and Other physical releases

Sync Licensing

Synchronisation rights generally apply when a musical composition is combined with visual content. Each use remains subject to the relevant ownership, approvals, and licensing arrangements.

Examples: Films, Television programmes, Advertising, Video games, Trailers and Online productions

Digital Uses

Digital services may involve several publishing rights. Depending on the platform, territory, licence, and type of use, a composition may generate performance, mechanical, sync, or other applicable publishing income.

Examples: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, Social media and User-generated content
